Terms of Service

Legal terms and conditions for using Notion Sidecar Chrome extension. Learn about your rights, responsibilities, and our service agreement.

1) Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the Notion Sidecar Chrome extension ("Notion Sidecar"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not install or use Notion Sidecar.

2) License to Use

Paytronic LLC grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Notion Sidecar solely for personal or organizational purposes.

You may not:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify Notion Sidecar.
  • Resell or sublicense Notion Sidecar.
  • Circumvent security or access controls.
  • Use Notion Sidecar to violate Notion's API Terms of Service or rate limits.

3) User Responsibilities

  • You are solely responsible for the database entries, content, files, and other data you choose to create and store using Notion Sidecar.
  • You must comply with all applicable laws and third-party terms of service (including Notion's Terms of Service, Notion's API Terms of Service, and Chrome Web Store policies).
  • You must not use Notion Sidecar to store, share, or distribute unlawful, harmful, or inappropriate content.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Notion account and workspace.
  • You must not attempt to access other users' Notion workspaces or data through Notion Sidecar.

4) Ownership of Content

  • You retain ownership of all database entries, files, content, and data created or stored through Notion Sidecar.
  • Paytronic LLC does not claim ownership of your content or Notion workspace data.
  • Paytronic LLC has no obligation to monitor or review your content.
  • Your content is subject to Notion's Terms of Service and data policies.

5) Service Availability

  • Notion Sidecar is provided "as is" and "as available."
  • Paytronic LLC does not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation.
  • Features may change or be discontinued at any time without notice.
  • Service availability depends on Notion's API availability and your internet connection.
  • Paytronic LLC is not responsible for Notion API downtime, rate limiting, or service changes.

6) Compliance with Third-Party Terms

Use of Notion Sidecar depends on services provided by Notion (API, OAuth, workspace access) and Google Chrome (extension platform, storage APIs). Paytronic LLC is not responsible for changes, limitations, or disruptions in those services. Your use must comply with:

  • Notion's Terms of Service
  • Notion's API Terms of Service and Developer Policy
  • Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies
  • Google Chrome Extension policies

7) Updates

Paytronic LLC may update Notion Sidecar or these Terms at any time. Updates will be effective when published through the Chrome Web Store or other distribution channels. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8) Termination

Paytronic LLC may suspend or terminate your license to use Notion Sidecar at any time if you violate these Terms, misuse the extension, or violate third-party terms of service. You may stop using Notion Sidecar at any time by uninstalling it and revoking its access to your Notion account.

9) Disclaimer of Warranties

Notion Sidecar is provided without warranties of any kind, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Paytronic LLC disclaims all liability arising from:

  • Reliance on Notion Sidecar's functionality
  • Data loss or corruption
  • Notion API changes or limitations
  • Integration failures or errors
  • Security vulnerabilities in third-party services

10) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Paytronic LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or damage to your Notion workspace.
  • Paytronic LLC's total liability for direct damages shall not exceed $50 USD.
  • Paytronic LLC is not liable for damages caused by Notion API changes, outages, or third-party service failures.

Some jurisdictions may not allow these exclusions; in those cases, liability is limited to the minimum extent required by law.

11) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Paytronic LLC, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your misuse of Notion Sidecar.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Any content you submit or store through Notion Sidecar.
  • Your violation of Notion's Terms of Service or API policies.
  • Unauthorized access to or use of your Notion account through Notion Sidecar.

12) Data and Privacy

  • Your use of Notion Sidecar is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • You acknowledge that your Notion workspace data is subject to Notion's privacy policy and data handling practices.

13) API Usage and Rate Limits

  • Notion Sidecar uses the Notion API to provide its functionality.
  • You acknowledge that Notion may impose rate limits, usage restrictions, or other limitations on API access.
  • Paytronic LLC is not responsible for API rate limiting, quota exhaustion, or service restrictions imposed by Notion.
  • Excessive or abusive use of Notion Sidecar that violates Notion's API policies may result in termination of your license.

14) Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Exclusive jurisdiction and venue shall be in the state and federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.

15) Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

16) Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and Paytronic LLC regarding Notion Sidecar.
